"Tidy without any fuss."

I'm rushing out the door most mornings and haven't the time to think about clothes. Threw this on before an early start and a colleague said I looked sharp. It's the cloth doing the work, real substance to it. Ideal now the mornings have a bite to them.

"Wife told me to keep it on. Says it all."

Slipped it on before heading out to dinner and my wife told me to leave it as it was. The fabric keeps its shape all evening and doesn't crease once. Cracking piece for the cold months coming in. Two more already on order.

"Not said a word about where it's from."

The lads keep asking what's changed with the way I dress and I've kept schtum. The material is thick and dense, really keeps the autumn cold out on the walk in. Nothing shouty about it. That's exactly why it does the job.

"She thought I was Italian."

First time ordering clothes online in ages and I was worried about the fit. Came in spot on. Wore it to a dinner by the water on a cold evening and stayed warm the whole night. My date reckoned I was Italian. I'm from Newcastle. I'll take it.

"My old man said I finally get it."

Wore it to my father's birthday meal. He's 75 and near impossible to impress. Halfway through he leaned in and said I'd finally figured out what proper clothes are. He even reached over to feel the cloth. High praise off him.

"Never a burgundy man. Am now."

The wife picked it as a gift and I was unsure about the colour. Turns out the deep autumn shade is spot on. Three fellas at Sunday brunch asked where it came from. The material feels pricey in the hand, in the best way. Ordered two more since.

"They thought the boat was mine."

Weekend down at a mate's marina. Had it on Saturday morning with dark jeans. By ten a couple on the pier had me down as the owner of one of the boats. It's not mine, but the cloth is heavy enough to stand up to the wind off the water, so I get why they thought it.

"Years after this look. Finally nailed it."

Spent a fair whack over the years trying to get this look right. The fabric weight here is exactly right, substantial but not stiff, and it drapes properly instead of hanging flat. Great for layering through autumn. Worn it four times, a comment every time.

"Don't do reviews. Made an exception."

A mate turned up to a barbecue better dressed than the lot of us. Turned out it was The Henderson. Ordered the same night. Fits perfectly at 6ft and just under 13 stone, and the fabric is a clear step up from anything else in the wardrobe.

"Three orders in and still going."

Had a wedding coming up and needed something considered. The combination worked a treat and a few guests asked about it during the reception. The cloth has a richness the photos don't quite show. Same quality across all three orders now.
